All round nice guy and club Vice President, Michael aka Mikey aka MKYD can usually be found under a car within the vicinity of a hammer or welder working on one of his JDM rides. In this post we check out his 1999 JDM SpecR Nissan Silvia S15.

Styling has always been a big thing with Mikey’s cars, so it’s no surprise to find a full aero kit on his white beast giving it a subtle yet aggressive look. Partnered with the “duck wing” boot spoiler it really enhances the s15’s clean lines perfectly.
Lowering the stance comes thanks to a set of BC Racing coilovers. The newest shoes are Blitz 01 wheels painted in purple (not pictured here as they were being painted) in 17×9 +20 all round. The 326 power lug nuts are a great addition to finish off the subtle exterior styling.
Stopping power comes thanks to some slotted rotors and upgraded pads. To help with keeping the Nissan cornering nicely, front and rear whiteline sway-bars have also been installed.
Engine wise, the little SR20DET has been left fairly standard, with the addition of a custom no holes front mount intercooler. Exhaust wise a CES dump and front pipe has been added with a PE2 Catback (all mufflers removed) to help the Sr20 breath with it all exiting via the amazing custom made star blast pipes, made by the man himself of course.
The interior is littered with JDM goodness, including a Bride Brix bucket seat, dildo shifter and a “drift button” hand brake hints at what the stylish Silvia gets up to on some spirited drives.
The combination of subtle styling and custom made goodies really shows it doesn’t take much to expand and improve on what the Nissan design team gave Mikey as a starting base to what is such an incredible, RWD sports car.
